Justin Boccitto is a graduate of Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre School. He trained under Michael Blevins for 15 years and went on to appear with The Metropolitan Opera, the Willow Cabin Theatre Company and the New York Theatre Ballet. Other performance credits include: Papermill Playhouse, Queens Theatre in the Park, Downtown Cabaret Theatre and the Drama League's Salute to Chita Rivera. Justin performed with the New Jersey Tap Ensemble in Broadway To Brunswick starring Marvin Hamlish and Rachel York. He has also worked with Nicole Fosse, Chet Walker, Robert Giraldi, Aileen Quinn, Andrew Lippa, Edward Berkeley, B.H. Barry and George S. Irving. Visit www.justinboccitto.com.
As an instructor of tap and theater dance, Justin serves on the guest faculty at The Juilliard School, Circle in the Square Theatre School and Broadway Artists Alliance. Justin also directs & choreographs for Circle in the Square Theatre School with credits including Tenderloin and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Other credits include: Side Show (Westchester Broadway Theatre), The Seven Little Foys (NY Fringe Festival), Singin' in the Rain (MacHaydn Theatre) and Sweeney Todd (White Plains Performing Arts Center). He also choreographed the Off-Broadway musical George M. Cohan In His Own Words — now published through Samuel French — and is director of The Choreographer's Canvas, an annual event for choreographers around the world. Justin serves as Executive Producer of The Group Theatre Too (GTT), a theatre collective in Manhattan producing new plays, musicals and revivals. GTT maintains an Honorary Board of Artistic Advisors including Nicole Fosse, Chita Rivera, Theodore Mann, Mercedes Ellington, Maurice Hines, Bettye Morrow and Sue Samuels. GTT's tap company, Generation Tap, has performed along side tap legends Dr. Jimmy Slyde, Brenda Buffalino, and Jason Samuels at Tap City and has been featured in Dance Spirit.
